Up for a challenge
I have always been up for a challenge or an “once in a lifetime opportunity”. When I was 17-years-old I moved to Seoul, South Korea, as an exchange student for a year without any knowledge of the Korean language. I lived with different Korean families and went to an all boys Korean high school.
After my military service I moved in with a German family in London and worked for them as an AuPair for one year. During that time I took care mainly of their two boys aged 6 and 9.

My technology fluency is very high. In my free time, I like to keep up with technological advances. When I was a young boy I used to open up my fathers’ old electronics to try to figure out how they worked. Now my interest has moved over from the hardware side to the software. At home, you can find me at watching launches of new technologies videos of how one can use them to one’s advantage.
I like to play with the software used at work during my free time as well. And as a result, I often have an easy time learning how to use a new program, figuring out what is work and solving issues.

Gardening for me is a passion. It’s a polar opposite to technology and is a time for me to fully unplug. At home, I have a small garden with both decorative plants and flowers and vegetables. There are few things more satisfying than seeing your flowers thrive and bringing the crops of your hard work to the table.

Art is another interest of mine that unfortunately often gets a back seat when it comes to prioritising. Watching art or listening to music is a source of creativity and I find it important to remove yourself from your work environment to get inspired by other mediums.
